An explanation of MyShawnee features:
After you first log in to MyShawnee, please take a moment to update your profile. At the top right of the home page, click on your name, and “profile.” Along the right, select “Edit profile.” In the tabs offered, you may fill in as much or as little information as you like. Any info you enter will be accessible to church staff, but not necessarily to the entire church. Please help the pastors and staff by making sure at least your e-mail, phone, address, birthday and anniversary information are listed correctly for each member of your family.
Online [Pictorial] Church Directory:
Click on the “People” tab at the left and begin typing a person’s name. Click on the name to bring up their profile, view their phone & address or send an e-mail. Again, this personal information is only available to church members who have approved access to CCB; it is not accessible to the world wide web! Also, information for children under the age of 12 will remain hidden, except to approved children’s workers.
When you click the “Give” tab at the left, you have access to make one-time gifts (camp payment, class enrollment, event tickets etc), or to set up a repeating gift (for tithes & offerings or Faith Promise). Please be advised that any electronic form of giving is accompanied by a fee. The most cost-effective way to contribute is to use your checking account. If you choose to use a Visa or Master Card, each issuing bank sets their own fees. Shawnee Church of the Nazarene is charged this fee, plus .03% per transaction. Your help in keeping banking fees at a minimum is greatly appreciated!
If you click on the calendar icon at the top, it will bring up your personal church calendar—all the upcoming events for the groups you belong to. At the top of the calendar, you may also choose to view the church-wide calendar.
While everyone is a part of the “Entire Church” group, many are also a part of several small groups (Life Group, Sunday School class, Nursery Workers, Prime Timers, etc). These small groups can be used to create schedules, have further class discussion, or communicate upcoming events. Talk with your group leader if you’re interested in learning more about the features available.
